Megan is from a tenant farming family at Newborough, near Peterborough. She grew up in South Lincolnshire and studied BSc Geography at the University of Leicester where she developed an interest in peat soils and the environmental issues linked to agriculture and completed a first-class project on the issues relating to agricultural emissions in the Fens and the ‘Flood or Farm’ debate. She was also awarded a First for her dissertation on management of peatlands in two UK national parks and graduated with First Class Honours in 2021.
Megan works full time for Fenland SOIL to lead and coordinate the work they are doing and is also the day-to-day project lead on the teams Discovery Grant Project.
