Farming has been a dream for me since I was a young child,  I love the great outdoors and the interaction that nature has within itself and the surrounding areas. Having had the opportunity to grow up on a family farm that has always been innovative whetted my appetite to continue and to always seek a different angle.

I am currently involved with the following:

Chairman of Ely and Soham NFU

Vice Chairman of Water beach internal drainage board

Board member of littleport and Downham IDB

Laptf Member

Member of the BEIS peatland scheme

Fenland Soil member

Agritech-e steering group member

I have also with collaboration with NIAB and CEH just embarked on a very exciting innovate uk bid which will hopefully create opportunities within the fen.

Keen at engaging with schools to get them onto farm and appreciate where food comes from and explain that farming is multi-faceted and not a boring job.

One thing that remains critical is the values that a strong family farm can bring, we are now farming over 4000 acres, which is a mix of rented, contract farmed and owned land growing a diverse range of crops and diversifications.
