Lucy grew up on her family’s arable farm in the Fens near Peterborough. Not wanting to go down the typical route of an ag degree, she studied BSc Geography at the University of Edinburgh. During her studies, she developed a keen interest in water resources and enjoyed field work. Four years of living in a city was more than enough, so Lucy returned to the Fens, joining the Fenland SOIL team in 2023 as project officer for the Paludiculture Exploration Fund Project.
