After gaining a BSc Hons in Agriculture at Newcastle University in 1976, John joined the family farming and marketing business which had been founded by his father in 1952.
John is Chairman of the G’s Fresh group of companies based in the UK, Europe and the USA focused on the growing and production of a range of salad and vegetable crops plus arable crops in rotation.
Day to day management of this business which still has its roots firmly in the Fens, is now in the hands of the next generation including John’s three sons.
Currently there is a firm commitment to develop regenerative farming practices on their farms and introduce management practices that conserve their Fen soils whilst continuing to produce large quantities of healthy fresh produce for UK consumers.
