Professor Chris Evans

Chris is an environmental scientist at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, who specialises in the measurement and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions from agriculturally managed peatlands from the Fens to Southeast Asia. He is a member of the national committee of Defra Lowland Agricultural Peat Task Force, and leads a number of Fenland-based projects for the UK government, as well as a large UKRI grant exploring novel approaches to manage peat for carbon capture within productive farmed landscapes.
