Matthew Bullock was Master of St Edmund’s College, Cambridge 2014 -19, and read History at Cambridge. In a long banking career, he was heavily involved in financing of technology companies in the first stages of the Cambridge Phenomenon, before becoming a General Manager of Barclays Bank, a Managing Director of an investment bank and CEO of a building society. He also became chairman of life sciences equipment company and of an English language school. He was a member of the several Advisory Boards in government, of the Cambridge University’s Judge Business School and Centre for Business Research and a member of the University’s Audit Committee. He also served as a Non-Exec and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He was a founding Director of Cambridge Ahead and a Commissioner of the Cambridge and Peterborough Independent Economic Commission. In 2020 he was a founder of the Cambridge Nature Network and in 2021 a founder/Treasurer of the Fenland Soils and Treasurer and Trustee of Natural Cambridgeshire.
