Brenda is a peatland biometeorologist at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, where she studies greenhouse gas (CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O), water, and energy fluxes from wetland ecosystems using eddy covariance networks across the UK. Her research aims to improve our understanding of the mechanisms driving greenhouse gas exchange between the land surface and the atmosphere, strengthen greenhouse gas and water accounting, support model and remote sensing validation, and inform climate change mitigation strategies.
